Adventure Island: cool off for the summer

Adventure Island is only open mid-March through mid-October. Make sure you know when the adventure season begins. This park is across the street from Busch Gardens, and has 30 acres of fun-filled water attractions.

If you can swing a visit during the week, do that. Weekends can be busy and lines can be long. There are lockers available to store things you don't want to get wet. 

Grab a tube or swim around in the giant wave pool. Kids can get wild in Fabian's Fun Port, where there's a water jungle gym, a kid-sized wave pool and bubbling springs galore.

Hit the volleyball around with friends on the sand courts. At Paradise Lagoon you can swing alone vines, cliff jump and walk beneath cool waterfalls. When you're done, float along the Rambling Bayou in an inner tube.
