I tend to lean toward the subcultures. I myself have been a goth chick for over 10 years. I stick to it because I think it's very beautiful, when you can get to the heart of it, which so many ppl don't. Does that mean I get to call myself "old school" goth? Maybe. *shrug* I do my best to ignore the idiots and seek out the intelligent people of any sub-culture. Punk, various geek types, hippie, what have you. If you think for yourself, than I think you're all right. :D I truly don't understand emo, what it is or why goth and punk feel the need to alienate it. As long as I can have an intelligent conversation with an emo, I'm not going to judge. *checks mailbox for emo hate mail.*

Home sweet home is Cleveland, Ohio, but I've been living in Tallahassee, Florida for the last two and a half years or so. I believe this is the most boring capital city on Earth. (I'm sure there's worse non-capitals, though.) In the last few weeks, a lot of the tethers I've laid since arriving here have come loose. Thus, I've been debating packing up and moving on. Going home has a deep appeal, of course. Tampa has an awesome goth scene, and reminds me of home enough that I might actually manage to be happy there. One way to find out, I suppose, but I still hesitate. Moving around is not exactly conducive to one's education, and that's the most important thing in my life right now. No matter what, I aim to decide very soon.

I'm also a gamer. I generally enjoy all the different types - RPG, board, video, etc - but I'm pickier about which games I like to play. My favorite RPG is Vampire: the Masquerade. (I'm know, you're entirely shocked, aren't you?) Currently, I'm involved in a tabletop troupe called Rouge Elephant Society (RES) where we cycle through games about every 2-3 months. Currently, we're on the Werewolf: the Apocalypse game that I've been DMing, but we switch regularly, and I'm prolly about to pause for another game. (I welcome any honest questions, however please bear in mind that jerks and idiots will be promptly blocked.)

I'm a pagan, and I'm aiming to be much more active this year than previously. *May update: total FAIL so far :P* I'm a solitary practitioner. :\ I really like most animals; even the ones that creep me the hell out (arachnids, snakes to a lesser degree) are hell'a fascinating. Cats, however, hold the special place in my heart. When 5 was the max, I uploaded 4 pics of me and 1 of my cat, Apache. After about a year without trouble, some prick decided to flag the photo, so I got pissy and took the others down, too. (I can admit it.) I've since loaded some newer ones, mostly from Dragon*con 08.

I try to uphold certain values, among them honor, compassion, patience, integrity, empathy, absence of hate. I am not always a text-book example (pesky case of humanity I've got) but I try. :) Ultimately, there are very few topics that I consider to be too "personal" but I tend not to bring things up unless asked. I'm a guitarist so by law I must love music. As far as genres go, I tend to lean on Punk Rock but everything is given a chance. It's a hit or miss, but I can tolerate a lot of hip-hop. Country is a stretch though.

I'm pretty sporadic and sometimes a bit too random but I know the limit and never go too far with it. I'm a very damn good tattoo artist but times are hard all around right now so it's hard to really live the carefree life of drawing on people.

Intellect is a way sexy asset in my opinion, second only to eyes. Yeah that's what every douchebag in the world says but I honestly do have a borderline unhealthy fascination with eyes, especially hazel or brown ones(don't make it weird you perv!). The artsy/nerdy look on females really drives me crazy, in a good way. I'll take a down home cute girl over a hot celebrity type any day.

The scholar athlete, the cool nerd, the geek with good hygiene, the warrior poet, the superstitious agnostic, I'm a walking contradiction, but the world rarely makes sense except in the abstract. They say you should put what you would want written on your tombstone anywhere they ask you to summarize yourself. I'd like my last words to be on there, and I'm pretty sure I'll have lost my mind completely by then, so I'm hoping for something indeterminately random and confusing so others can share in my haze. Barring that experience, I love playing Rock Band, raging against the clothing industry (we have a history), and brandishing my knowledge of innocuous facts. Like did you know that the "normal" range for pooping is between once every three days and up to 6 times a day? Crazy right?

Oh man, totally lost the pretentiousness in there somewhere. I guess I'll have to work on it.

i am a laid back guy who works for a living and can take care of myself. i believe every person deserves to be happy in there life, and i want to find the one that is gonna be happy with me, i know its not an easy choice and it takes time but i will wait as long as i have to

All my life, people have told me that I am "different." I take this quite firmly as a compliment.

I like Skittles, and storms, and people who can keep up with (or exceed!) my randomness. I talk to animals as though they understand what I'm saying, on a regular basis. My cat is awesome and likes Sufjan Stevens, which is convenient, as I do too. I read frequently and think about all sorts of spiritual/philosophical/sociological shit but I'd much rather talk about the weird hat that guy over there is wearing, so I don't tend to like stuffy, academic types. There's so much I don't know, and so many places I haven't been, and I think it's silly to pretend like we have it all together.

I can talk forever about film, but I have mostly seen movies made within the past five years or so, unfortunately. I'm working on it. I love Pixar AND Kevin Smith AND political documentaries. My favorite people are often the ones who can come up with excellent "that's what she said" references in daily conversation.

I'm quite antisocial at times (typical writer) and yet I love talking to new people at other times. I work in retail and and pretty sure that someday I'll be able to fill a book with all the incredibly stupid things people have said to me. I am deeply concerned about how few modern Americans can correctly operate a credit card machine. If you take issue with the fact that I work in retail (and will continue to, most likely) then save your breath - I've heard it all.

I think people who like Glen Beck and Sarah Palin should be shot. Except my brother, whom I love. Mostly.

I'm a vegetarian and quite interested in things like organic food, animal rights, and not filling people's bodies with chemicals. I don't eat fast food except the occasional veggie burger at BK. I do not require dates to be vegetarian by any means but they certainly get extra brownie points.

I like quiet, thoughtful music. I love sad music. I love music which can be sung at the top of my lungs. I like music that makes me feel something, which I think pretty much everyone can say. Let's talk about music, shall we?

I am 19 years old and I have the best little girl in the world. I have a great family that completely supports me and what I am doing in my life. I graduated high school in 2008 with honors. I am currently in my second year of college and I enjoy it a lot. I'd also like to add that my daughter has a father. I'm not here looking for a baby daddy. Although if I do meet a nice guy and something happens with it then I'd like for him to treat Haylee like his own but respect her real dad. I have nothing negative to say about him and you shouldn't either. He and I are still good friends and get along well. Things just didn't work out but we would still like to make the best life possible for our daughter with both Mommy and Daddy.

I am very active in my 2 nephews lives, they are 2 and 5 and both of them are hell to handle, I watch them a lot while I am home off work, so If you got a problem with kids, or bringing my nephew to a movie or something like that, every now and then... then forget even talking to me, I would die and kill for these boys, just like if they were my own kids

hmm...an open response. As I described myself, I'm pretty chill-I don't need or thrive on drama. I did my undergrad in psychology and I'm finishing my masters in mental health. I'm planning on applying to a number of doctoral programs in clinical psych. Honestly, I enjoy humanity. Being in this profession I meet a lot of random people from different walks of life and I have to try to find some way to connect with them and help them find out what's going on in their life and behavior.

I think we're interesting and it's entertaining learning more about ourselves. I'm really down to earth and I like being active and going out. I like going out and sharing some food and drinks. I really enjoy connecting with people and I'm usually up for whatever. I like traveling-I wish I made more time to visit places.

In terms of my art, I love cartooning and pinups the most. I'm talking the classic pinups, too. I mean, there's some good modern stuff out there, but I'm more of a Vargas kind of guy, really. I'm 30 with no children. I work 40 plus hours a week...gotta pay the bills. LOL. I moved to FL almost 5 years ago, after my sister convinced me it was a great idea. (her logic...you aren't married and don't have any kids, whats holding you back from trying something new). Glad I listened to her. I've met some really great friends down here and I no longer have to shovel a side walk or scrape my car windows in the winter.

Life to me is about amazing experiences and the people I meet and help along the way. I might only be 26 but that means I only have 74 years left to do...everything I haven't done yet = ) (yes, I do plan on living to be 100! Maybe even 101 if I can cut back on my chocolate consumption!). I'm big into travelling the world and doing a lot of volunteering like building houses with Habitat, being a big sister, serving on a board etc.

I probably have too many hobbies and more sporting equipment than anyone I know, but it keeps me enjoying life. I'm not your typical "I like staying in and renting a movie" kind of girl. I don't care if I had a long day at work, I will still want to go bike the trails, go for a jog, annoy my neighbors on my drumset, hit some golf balls, or go out for drinks. (That was in no particular order because the part about the drinks would need to be moved up a little = ) The weekends tend to get a little crazier with my kayaking/camping trips to anywhere in the state, going downtown, skimboarding at the beach or maybe a random race that ends with a giant mud pit! OK, so I do enjoying sleeping in from time to time or napping during a good storm.
